Turkey Chili
2-15 1/2 ounce cans red kidney beans, drained
6 tomatoes, cut up
1-6 oz. can tomato sauce
2-med chopped onions
1-6 oz. can tomato paste
1-chopped green pepper
1 jalapeno pepper chopped fine
1 bay leaf
2 cloves garlic, minced
3 tbs. chili powder
1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp. marjoram
1 pound ground turkey
1 tbs. olive oil
4 ounces red wine
Sauté onion, peppers, celery with olive oil until tender. Add minced garlic and tomatoes. Add tomato sauce, paste and other spices. Add kidney beans. In a separate skillet, brown turkey then add to mixture. Heat under very low flame, stirring occasionally, for 2 hours.
